I know BC Rich had several Asian companies make guitars for them over the years, it would make sense that one (or more) of those guys made a copy version. And a lot of neck-thru guitars end up on the heavy side because of the non-lightweight woods they glued up to make these. I can't tell by the pix you posted but if it was plywood that would make it heavy, too. The edges look like ash which can be real heavy wood as well.
Oh and here's what it probably would end up looking like if you finished it black: http://www.instruments2go.co.uk/BC-Rich ... -3920.html
it's your guitar, so if you really would rather have a black one than the current color, don't listen to anybody's opinion about changing it.

I wouldn't refinish it either...original sunburst looks nice, and you'll wreck the resale value- even if you do a really good job

Can't find anything useful when i search google/youtube at keywords D. Lewis Guitar.

I tried a dutch guitarforum and they told me to go to here.

I have already sold the pickups that came with the guitar and im planning on buying these one instead:

http://www.thomann.de/nl/gibson_burstbu ... eck_nc.htm

I also want to invest in this bridge and tailpiece:

When i got that parts im planning on giving it a new paintjob too, something like completely glossy black, something like the color of this car:

So i was wondering if any of you guys could tell me anything more of this guitar. Its pretty heavy too: 3,2 kg's without any pickups or other things, just the body and the neck ;)
