Sorry, but I haven't been able to turn up any information on your bass so far. As I'm sure you are aware, Takamine production is overwhelmingly focused on acoustic and electric-acoustic instruments. I have one Takamine Electric guitar catalog from the 80's but it is a bit earlier than your instrument.

In terms of value, you'll probably need to be guided by values of unconventional bass guitars made by other companies since it is unlikely you will find a Tak bass that has sold recently. I'm thinking of an instrument like a Westone Dynasty from the mid 80's.

I'll keep looking. I've also posted a link to this thread over at the Takamine Forum, hopefully someone over there might recognize your bass and tell us something about it.

It has a BEAUTIFUL sound and never goes out of tune! More importantly as I am a very small woman it is Very light weight made of some sort of composite matériel I think. I have searched every where and can find NO information on it at all, model type/number remains a mystery. Can someone help me identify this Bass and possibly what it is worth? It is in near pristine condition kept with great care in it's original hard shell case. Thanks!
