It has probably been 6 months to a year since I have priced one of these Kawai violin basses. I have a Teisco violin that is missing the pick ups and controls so I would watch the auctions looking for a damaged one to use for parts. I eventually gave up looking since the parts guitars were selling for so much I decided it wasn't worth my effort to put the Teisco back together. Discovering a slight twist in the neck of the Teisco also drained my enthusiasm.
At that time they were selling for around $350 - $400. If I had yours, I would expect to get around $400 eventually, realizing that I might need to go down to $350 for a quicker sale.
Here is a Domino violin bass that is roughly comparable to yours that sold for $440. Looks like the original asking price was $500 which is pushing the market value pretty hard.
