If you're serious about an appraisal that would be considered valid by your insurance company I think you should spend $50 and have Gruhn's Guitars give you an online appraisal.

This is a very cool looking acoustic and I don't think the $800 figure you suggested in your other post seems out of line, but it could be worth quite a bit more. I can imagine a couple of Valco lovers pitchin' down some dollars if this guitar were in an auction. It was built right before Supro closed down so the production numbers are likely very low.

If you get an appraisal we would appreciate a post back to let us know what Gruhn thinks.

Hi everyone, This guitar I have had since 1991.. the Supro Acoustic S700 according to a user here , with bound fingerboard, spruce top and mahogany back and sides, Kluson Deluxe tuners, in great condition..It is over 40 years old, and was wondering if anyone might know a value for it, and If I should insure it..
