Despite the bull you read about 'most' Burns guitars being scrapped for their pickups, they are highly respected guitars, and even covered with green paint and missing the neck, this is worth FAR more as an incomplete project than just the pickups alone. Vista Sonics are amongst the rarer original Burns guitars as well! Probably one shows up for every thirty or forty sonics, or twenty vibra artistes etc...

I'd say you'd get between 20 and 30 quid apiece for the pickups on ebay, but everything else you have there would certainly sell as well- including the body.

If your girlfriend wants to make a clock out of a guitar, please get her to do it out of some piece of crap japanese plywood guitar, rather than a potentially salvagable piece of UK guitar history!

My girlfriend recently came home with a very battered guitar from a junk shop. It turned out to be a VERY butchered Burns Vista Sonic - without original neck, headstock, trem, paint/finish or scratchplate. In fact i'd say the only original parts on it were the actual body [under an inch of toxic green paint] and three tri sonic pickups.

So anyway I ripped the guitar apart for her as she wanted to use the body to make a clock for a customer, and am now left with these 3 pickups.

Could anyone let me know how much to put em up for on ebay. They are all in good nick for the age [little rust, few scratches].
