To my knowledge, no one really knows who made or distributed Montclair guitars. Willie Mosely has suggested it was a house brand of Montgomery Ward but I've never seen any evidence to support that idea. All the 1960's Ward's catalogs I own badge all their guitars Airline.

From what I can see, your guitar appears to be about the quality of a Harmony. Here is an Asian made Harmony hummingbird on eBay with a BIN price of $120.



The $1,500 you are asking is closer to the value of an actual Gibson Hummingbird in average condition.

A professional repair of that bridge will probably cost around $70.
