That's what the frets on my '68 SG looked like before I had them dressed, at which point the tech gave them a higher crown. I didn't really mind them so much when they were flat, but they're fine now too (IMO). As Spud1950 said, the binding on that neck could make refretting difficult. Maybe better to leave to a pro if you're at all dubious of your own abilities. Perhaps a fret dress, with or without a higher crown, would be a good solution if fret work is really needed.

I can't find any info as to exactly which year your serial number is. I guess the "71" in it might mean 1971, but can't find anything to confirm it. Also,it would be an SG Standard model with the optional Maestro vibrato tailpiece. Are you planning on getting into working condition? You'd have a real nice guitar!
Edit- Forgot to add, I don't think the pickups are original. They originally came with chrome covers, but even if the covers are removed,as some people do, the Gibson humbucker bobbins of that era would be black. Also, Gibson humbuckers, even the ones still made today have braided metal shielding over the pickup leads, not plastic covered like the ones on your pickups. Here's a nice original 1971 SG Standard.

The only thing that we know for sure isn't original is the color (it was Cherry red, but was stripped down and stained...)
The Serial Number is 971331, it is imprinted on the back of the headstock with "MADE IN THE USA" imprinted underneath....
