It absolutely sounds scary!!
I just wanted to be sure it was nothing special before I let it go. No truss rod, moisture warped neck - sounds like a good candidate for the kindling pile

I'm not sure on this one but it sure looks Teisco to me. Do you think this Teisco EP-14 might be it's cousin?
Of course the rocker switches and tailpiece indicate Japanese. I can't tell much about the pickups from the picture but they may be of the goldfoil variety. The pickguard looks pretty strange but could easily be a replacement.
So, the bottom line is that I don't know for sure, but I've got to tell you that auction description is about as scary as any I have ever seen. If this guitar has been stored in damp conditions for a long time you are likely facing frozen pots, corroded pickups and a warped neck. The fact that you'll have the opportunity to inspect it before handing over your money helps but it's still a shakey proposition. Good Luck, sb
