I obtained a Kay Speed Demon single-pickup body from Ebay the other day... and a few weeks prior I obtained some weird, wacky-looking 60's bass neck... seller said it might have been Kay or Silvertone, but didn't know for sure... all I know is that the headstock had an interesting carve to it, and some wacky-looking trussrod cover.

So the neck comes in the other day... and it turns out that the trussrod cover is just a piece of wood-looking formica glued onto the smaller original pickguard... so I pull the two apart, and what do I find?

The neck is off of an Alamo Titan!

The body's in tip-top shape, with the original pots and insert still intact...

...any suggestions for a pickup?
