The paint looks good from what I can see. Where did you get the tailpiece and bridge -- and did you search for one that was more narrow than American parts? My experience with my Kent, and with other Japanese guitars is that you can't use American parts for replacement because they're too wide for the neck. I first learned this when I bought an LP bridge and installed it on a Teisco tulip body ony to find that the E strings were as wide as the edge of the edge of the neck itself.

I didn't do a whole lot but I sanded it down and gave it a new paint job (not a very good one but it'll do). I also put an aftermarket surface mount "vintage-esque" tailpeice and put an aftermarket LP type bridge on it since it was missing the original bridge.

I got the bridge slightly off center so I'm gonna have to fix that and I am curious if there are any aftermarket tuners that fit these old japanese guitars that aren't horrendously bad.

It's hard to tell what you've done because the pictures are small. I've got a couple old solid body Kents. I'd be interested in your description of your work.
