First, check this brief clip of Steve Vai describing his audition for Frank's band when he was 20.
Next, check out "Stevie's Spankin" from 1982. Do you think Vai is the only guitarist to spit on Frank's headstock during a performance. No wonder his stay with the band was short-lived.
Frank's Estate took down the spitting version. This version has wanky guitar playing with less drama:
