i saw a docu on TV about her sometime late last year, some excellent footage shot in the UK. :)

Besides being a seminal influence on Rock and Roll, Rosetta played some very cool guitars. Here is a late career video of her using a 1966 Gibson SG Custom, the Cadillac of Gibson solid body guitars in the mid 1960's. Her tone leaves something to be desired, but it is not the guitar's fault. Wish I had one of these hangin' on my wall.

Here's Rosetta Tharpe playing "Didn't it Rain" after an obvious rainstorm. If you listen carefully, you can still hear thunder in the background.



Enjoy the performance and the guitar in their natural habitat. More of her iconic guitar collection coming soon.
