Probably worth more to keep it and play the bejeebus out of it.

I found an FG-200 in the 1973 guitar catalog but it is described as a Jumbo rather than a Dreadnought which I presume the D suffix on your model name stands for.

I checked this model timeline, and no FG-200 is listed; however, the timeline is clearly not complete since 1973 among other years is missing.



I'll keep looking around and see what I can turn up.

It has the cream colored label with the Nippon Gakki company on it.

I bought it from a Marine Vet who was in Okinawa, and did a coupla tours in Vietnam. I honestly don't know if this has anything to do with the guitar.

Was wondering if these guitars have any collector value whatsoever, before I sell it? I love the sound and wouldn't want to unload a great axe without it's value. Ubfortunately, all o the finre things in my house are up for sale, due to child care costs.

The serial on the neck under the front is 20,***.

I won't mention condition, for fear of the old "ahh, five bucks" response. LOL. Can send pics if needed.




Anybody that can date this guitar or give me a ballpark??
