The hanko on the right just reiterates that in the first two columns (left to right) ... I can't make out the last column (on the left).

Are we looking at the same label?

Yairis have and I`ve seen it on others too, seems to have been a popular addition to labels at one time...my Yairis date from the early`60s to 1971 so at least that period of time. I had heard stuff about what the label says but I was interested in the name so I could search it but there isn`t much to go on and so far I`ve come up empty. I figured it was probably used the same way we use junior but ...what did matter was that the label shared some characteristics of the other one I have with junior`s name...except my wife says the name appears to be hand written on this one, it looks like a stamp on the other 21 yen guitars which has become one of my top 3 favs, I can`t believe I paid so little for it...the original bid was 11 yen and the seller had it listed in 10 yen increments so if I remember I went all the way up to 1000 yen but ended up getting it for 21...thats only happened the one time however I did get a Koga classical the same week for 100 yen...Kogas show up regularly so it`s not rare or anything and it is a laminate but sounds pretty darn good though not my best. Seller says he shipped the guitar Friday so maybe I`ll get it Sunday or Monday, will take pics.

K. Yairi is still alive and he could easily end this non sense but evidently he doesn`t like to talk about it...bad blood or something. I have several old S. Yairis too and they are great...there were many excellent builders back in the day, I have some with label signatures that nobody can read over here so I can`t even search them..So be it, I paid 21 yen for one of my favorites...thats right 21 yen, not a typo...so as long as I can find gems like that I will live with the fact that I may never know everything about em.
I have seen sites before but not sure if I`ve seen the one you mean...there have been so many... if you have a link I`ll take a look.

The ones I am interested in have labels with only Japanese language characters (no English leters).

I bought a No. 10

and discovered it is quite nice with a solid veneer top.

I see a lot of the No30s series; 33, 35 ,37 and others:

I was thinking of buying one of these just to see what it is. Does anyone have one of these or know anything about them?
