Given that the Sorkin bridge you posted a link to doesn't have notches, I would guess string spacing at the bridge is a function of spacing at the tailpiece. So if I have the correct tailpiece can I use this for a bridge on, say, a Teisco tulip? Either with the provided base or by drilling holes for the threaded posts?

Once you find the correct spot to place the bridge, its best to mark the space with a pencil. If you use the vibrato a lot, the bridge will tend to shift.
Of the three I have in my shop now, one was glued in place, one was TAPED in place (

I put one of these on a Stratotone (onto which I also fitted a Bigsby)... its just okay. Like I said, a Bigsby and a rosewood bridge don't work too well together. MUCH better with a metal bridge.
