Judging from your photos, it looks to me like the neck on the Rick may need a thin shim. This would even out the action up the neck and would require you to raise the bridge a bit to prevent fret buzz up the neck.

What do you think? Is the action considerably higher up the neck compared to the nut? sb

It plays good but I do have one concern about the bridge height. It has to be so low to be playable, about mid way down. Are all 450's like this? It plays good but it seems like the bridge is really close to the face of the guitar. Like a lot of old 12 strings you see with bowed necks and the bridge having to be all the way down on the face. This one is only mid way down so its not that bad but I'm just wondering if there all made this way?
