I used to have a 'Hohner Holborn' which was very similar to that. A beech body with flame veneer. My gut instinct is that they were made by stuart darkins and son (company who are known to have produced some early voxes) then the later ones came about when Vox properly started their own production. I've seen a Dallas that's obviously of the same background as well.
Incidentally- that's got a Burns Trem on it...which I doubt is original.

It's in nowhere near as good shape as yours (dunno if you can see the long cracks in the poly finish- plus missing trem, decal), but plays great, and sounds as good as any strat of any age I've ever heard.
I refretted it when I first got it- the originals were trying to escape...lifting all over the fretboard!

I've got a 'super ace'...identical guitar but with a middle pickup
Only thing I think lets these down is the tuners...ended up replacing mine with Klusonalikes- which fit without the need to drill any holes. The originals just weren't doing the job for me.
