on a happier note i bought a wee VOX DA 5 on tuesday for $5 in a thrift store, untested and no mains adapter but it looked pretty clean inside. turned out the main on/off switch was fecked and it now works great.

Great price. I'd expect one in decent condition to go for 3-400 uk, possibly more, so as long as the neck repair is done well, it should be a lot of useable bass for the money.

the neck looks like a weak point according to the pics of that 65.
i've mailed the seller asking for a few pics more. it's a bit over 100 miles from me. but he doesn't seem to know what it actually is............

Was also sold under the Futurama brand in the UK. The pickups are the very unique Hagstrom Bisonic type. I think it's been repainted. Never seen an original one in that color. Even with the repair and re paint, if everything is in good order, $100 is a great price.
