I have not discovered anything specific about your ES - 175 but based on the label information you have supplied, your guitar was not built in the 1960's.
Gibson moved guitar production to Nashville Tennessee in 1974 so this would be the earliest possible date your guitar was produced.
I am currently looking into the possibility that your guitar was produced around 1986. This is the year Henry Juszkiewicz, David Berryman and Gary Zebrowski acquire Epiphone and Gibson. Under their leadership, the Epi line was expanded to include traditional models like the Sheraton, Emperor and Howard Roberts, along with Epi versions of Gibson classics like the Les Paul, Flying V and Explorer. At this point, I'm not sure whether any Epi archtop models were introduced as part of this expanded product line.
So, I am still trying to discover information about your guitar.Statistics: Posted by VintAxe — Sun May 31, 2009 1:30 pm
