For the record, the tuners are not nearly as bad as I first thought. I have the tremolo going now, and as long as you're just going for a Bigsby-style warble, it stays in tune quite well. So they're keepers.
This is my first Teisco, and I must say it plays much better than I expected. It feels a bit like a toy when you first pick it up, but the neck plays great. The body's pretty beat up (read: "reliced," "road worn"), but functionally speaking, it's in great condition.  
It's a really fun guitar, and in my opinion, super-cool looking.
