I bought this guitar second hand in the late 90's and while it's mostly in fairly good condition at some point a previous owner added a third middle humbucker. It has the original Super 70 PAF open humbuckers in the neck and bridge and a DiMarzio in the middle - this gives it more growl than suites the styles I play especially since it's been wired Bridge & Middle, Bridge & Neck and Middle and Neck on the three position selector.
I'm looking to upgrade the pick ups for a more jazzy blues tone and tidy up / replace the cracked pick up rings etc while I do it - I'd love to lose the middle pick up altogether, but since that would leave me with a gaping hole . . .
.... the Seymour Duncan "Tone Wizard" asks you to specify the wood of the body, fretboard and neck and I have no clue what these are!
Any ideas how to find out?
