I agree with you that your guitar was built by Kawai. Your seller could be right that the guitar was distributed under the Kingston name, but I'm sure it was actually built by Kawai. sb

She is very minty, it seems she had a loose fret-wire, which was repaired by seller. in addition the location of the pickup switches is not ideal. Its very easy to knock the the bridge pickup off. A previous owner filed it down to prevent this accidental switch. Image.
I replaced these switches and reversed the direction. Also capped the hole on the tremelo where the arm was missing. Alittle wax,fret oil and adjustment and she plays and sounds great.
