The whole Teisco/Kawai question can be a bit tricky since Kawai took over Teisco in January of 1967. After the takeover, the former president of Teisco headed a subsidiary of Kawai called Teisco Business Affairs that continued to produce guitars under the Teisco brand.
I generally refer to guitars produced before the takeover as Teisco and those produced after the takeover as Kawai. Using this criterion, your guitar is a Kawai.
