I got this bass at a pawn shop for just under $100. I was looking for a cheap hollowbody, and somethin to spend my break fixin up, so here it is.
This bass pretty weird in a few ways so I was hoping somone could tell me about it or about the company.
It's a Cameo hollobody, 25" scale bass.
Serial is HEB 152.

Its got an interesting bridge that allows for vast horizontal adj. and there are a couple spots above the bridge that make it look like the bridgee was moved maybe?

Any insight as to the history of this bass or any knowledge about the brand would be awesome.

Thanks.

Well, I don't anything about the distributor Cameo, but I can tell you at first glance that the tailpiece on your bass was commonly used by the Japanese company Kawai from 1964-1968. However, the pups don't look Kawai-like so it will require a bit of research to figure out exactly what you have.

An interesting challenge

I found this lil guy while lookin at Teisco guitars.

This apparently is the Teisco semi-hollow EP9T
Maybe this is custom beast?
Someone trying to turn a guitar into a bass?
It would explain the scale, the kawaii looking tailpeice, and those marks near the bridge.

Thoughts anyone?
