I just thought it would be a good idea to get back with you on my Washburn Strat. I pulled off the back plate and it did say Made In Japan. The wood was also in 3 layers. 2 thin layers on front and back. The middle layer was a solid block of wood.

On the tremolo block I saw the initials S.T.C. stamped near the string holes. Does this ring a bell to any of you? Thanks for all your help again on this item.
