Friend's Grandpa left this to him, any ideas what it is?

I did a little digging, but I haven't been able to see it in person to look for serials or other stamps, and I don't recognize it... So, I'm stumped...

First time poster, any help would be appreciated.

Hi sakulmada.

Based on what I can see the guitar is a Kawai built instrument. It looks like a third cousin to my Prestige which was built by Kawai. It has the exact same trem unit and similar build characteristics although the parts are clearly different on the two instruments.
