any ideas on what this might be?

yes, i could ask the seller and probably get all sortsa crap about how it's better than an original.....

and much as i'd like to, i won't be heading towards the med again for a few months. :wink:

this is a reasonably common gtr in the UK - usually badged Jedson by the brit importers Dallas and with a white finish. I've never played one, but it's a generic MIJ 60s thing really - not bad probably, but built to a price point.

i had a quick look at your blog. i don't have any any stratotones but do have a few harmonys. 8)

these guitars were sold under variuos names, like jedson, sakai etc, the one on that site is way overpriced like all french guitarsites tend to do, the value is more around the 100 euro markt imho.
i sold one a while ago for 70 euro and that was no easy sale, by far!

yes, generally speaking you're right there.

a few bargains do turn up but they sell very quickly. usually quicker than i can get to them. :lol:

i came across another jedson tele ( single pickup)near paris today, the seller doesn't know what it is and is asking €150 with an ol' philips amp included. the amp is in my opinion worthless unless yer a dutch fanatical collector of such things, in which case maybe €5............. :P

yesterday there was a US harmony banjo near strasbourg for €80 as well, ad's gone now so expect to see it it advertised again for several hundreds along with the other fantastic bargains. :wink:
