please help identify this guitar

This is the best picture I can find of the 70's rock band Bang.

I'm in love with the crunchy sound of the guitar on their first album, and the cool looks of the guitar, but no idea what it is!

Hey LLL.

I really can't tell what Frankie's guitar is in that picture other than it is a Jaguar/Jazzmaster inspired design. It's probably Japanese but I can't really tell from the photo.

I tried emailing Frankie through the Bang website when you first posted but he never responded. Apparently he's not much of a gearhead anymore. Here's the link if you want to try your luck, maybe you can send him a more impassioned message than I did.
