I bought this for £10 at a charity shop and have no idea what the make is. There are "Z" or "N" logos on both the pickups and the scratch plate but nothing else.
Thanks

It's a Zen-On made in Japan. It's not typical of their mid-60s style at all, so might be 1950s, especially if it has a set neck.

I might be interested in buying it if you want to sell....

Thanks guys,
I was beginning to lose hope after 5,000+ views and no response.
I'm surprised that after so much hunting on the net. I can't find those "Z" logos anywhere. Not even on the zen-on ones I've found.

BluesHawk - It sounds great, I love playing it just as an acoustic, it gives me a good down and dirty blues feel!

there's a zen-on logo like yours on the headstock of the gtr in the Japanese auction, that's why I linked - here it is again in case it's not showing up in the first post

Thanks Simon, that wasn't coming up on my search. It's definitely tagged mine as a Zen-on then.

Based on the little I've discovered, Aik, your Zen-On model may be rare. I've found many models and yours is similar to their ZEP 130 model. But haven't seen your model yet, so that may mean it's a good investment as these become more collectable... :P ...and here's an interesting thread from Harmony Central about Zen-Ons:

BTW, does yours have a steel reinforced neck? Or truss rod? How's the action up near the body? Regardless, keep it in a case (or swaddled like a winter's newborn in a barn  ).
Cheers,

Doug
