ID This Neck?

I pulled a neck out of the trash a few years back. It appears someone had been leveling the frets but stopped with visible gouges from course sandpaper in the first few frets. I recently found it and tried polishing up the frets for funzies. I'm thinking I could actually make it work. It'll need tuners and string tree(s).

I fitted it to a Strat body this morning and found it a little narrower than the pocket. This makes me think it might be Japanese. I should probably measure it. Based on what you can see here, I wonder if wants to hazard a guess as to its origins. See pics below.
