Les Paul Custom copy unknown brand to identify

I need help identifying the brand, any ideas ?

Bound neck, multi-ply (5?) body binding, gold hardware, carved top...looks well-built and doubt they'd skimp on electronics if they put that much into appearance. So I'm curious, too, but no help whatsoever.

BTW, I'm in Stuttgart, Frank, and new here. How far away are we from each other?

Okay, guys, the ugly American has been humbled. Actually, as soon as I'd posted you I checked and saw the distance from Stuttgart is too far for just a day's visit (what we call in North Carolina a "fur piece"... ).

My work here is a 3-month project and then I'm back home for a few weeks before I go to my next project in Bahrain. By the way, how long a drive would it be from...oh, never mind... So the location on my profile is my residence. Though sometimes North Carolina seems like a place I go for short visits.

Opo, good call...a Helly Hansen, designed for active outdoor use. Regarding Fast Eddie, no I haven't run across his Blues Band here. But I found a very good Luthier and electric guitar tech named Zoran. He works at Lupo's Rock Shop (www.lupos-rockshop.de) and makes Benzville Guitars (www.benzville-guitars.de).
