That guitar definitely looks like it was built in the 80's.

This is what the blue book says about Maxtone...

"Instruments currently produced in Taiwan. Distributed by the Ta Feng Long Enterprises Company, Ltd. in Tai Chung, Taiwan and in Singapore by the Renner Piano Company.
Maxtone instruments are designed with the entry level to student quality guitars. They produce a whole range of guitars and prices are mainly between $100 and $200. "

So its not very collectible, probably worth $50-$200, but if it plays well and you like it then enjoy it.

Hey alkonw200.

There is no more info about this guitar that will increase it's value or increase your pride in ownership. It is a budget guitar that has been adequately identified by Phizix. If you like it, that is all you need to know. If you want to sell it you also have the information you need to know. There is nothing more about this instrument to learn.

Happy you are an excited owner, but there is not more that we can add. Play it and enjoy it :)
