Hi - newbie here!
This is a 1965 Baldwin Jazz Bass which has the original white or ivory colour stripped down to natural wood. It's a very long shot but I am appealing for the original style bridge cover and string mute.
The previous owner fitted the Precision Bass pickup cover as shown, which needs to go.
The string 'mute' is just a piece of chromed steel with rounded off ends which are held down with two screws and it does absolutely nothing. No doubt there are parts missing from this item which probably once included
a strip of string contact material which acted as the mute. Also would have included two screws for elevating and lowering.
The neck and action are very good and controls provide a decent range of sounds.
