Moridaira acoustic

Hi all

Can anybody give me any info re the build quality of the Moridaira guitar pictured (see attached link)? I've found a picture of a Morales MF-450 that looks uncannily like it which retailed at 45,000 Yen back in the late sixties early seventies but not a lot else.

I'd be most grateful for any help i.e is it plywood etc?

That guitar is based on the Gibson J-200.





I've seen a lot of clones of this Gibson model with many different brand names on them. A lot of Japanese manufacturers made copies of it. As far as Moridaira, they made very good quality guitars. They also owned the well respected Morris brand,which was their distribution company in the USA. Different name on the headstock, but the same guitars made at the same factory. Not much info found on the Moridaira branded guitars, but the older Morris guitars of that same time period are said to be of great quality,made of solid woods. Looks like a very nice well made guitar to me.
