Hey dear guitar people.
This is my first post, so forgive me for posting in the wrong forum section or whatsoever.
So I'm thinking of investing in one or a few vintage guitars for several reason. I have some money on the bank I won't touch in a few years, so why not use them for something fun in the meantime. Hopefully, I'll even earn a little when (and if) I'll sell them.
I have seen this beautiful '53 Martin 0-18 in my local guitarshop and seriously considering buying it. I haven't played it yet, but I think I'll head by tomorrow and play it. Although, the guy in the store says there's a small crack "close to pickguard, but that's common occuring to these guitars". So from what I understand, there's a crack in the body, and NOT the pickguard.
First question: is it even worth to buy a guitar if it has a crack in it, if you are aware of the guitar's future value?
Second question: if the answer is yes, go for it, is the guitar worth the $2.600 he wants for it? If no, what is a plausible price?
Thank you for helping me.
