While I was in college in 1970 I bought an Epiphone 6512. I paid $350.00 for it, it was a lot of money back then. The owner of the store told me that Epiphone was part of the Gibson brand. He said it was made in Kalamazoo, MI. That was easy to believe because the label said so. Now I have the sneaking suspicion it was made in Japan. How do you find out? The other number inside is C-6705.
Last question is what is it worth today?
