heit guitar (teisco?)

I was recently on my local Craigslist and just loved the look of this guitar, a nice sunburst. On impulse, I contacted the man and am soon to purchase it. I did some research and have found a few things, but nothing on the value of it. Any help with appraising it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

This is a budget guitar built in the tradition of Teisco's and Kawai's. It's hard to know who actually built it since there were so many small manufactures around at the time.

Guitars like this generally retail for between $100-$175 although it is not unusual to pick them up at garage sales for much less.

If you have the opportunity to play the guitar before the purchase make sure to take your tuner with you and check the intonation at the 12th fret. If the intonation is way off there is not much you can do to correct it.
