gretsch Dorado..worth anything?

I have a Gretsch Dorado and I'm a little confused. Some info. I have read says that some of the Dorados are not worth anything, and some are. There are two different ways that I've found that the labels read. Mine only says model 5989, with no serial number listed, as some of them do. Anybody with any info. on estamated value would be greatly appreciated!

Dorado was a brand name used by Gretsch on a line of Japanese import guitars they distributed in the mid 1970's. My price guide estimates values between $150-$250. I've never heard of a Dorado being worth a lot more than this basic price range. Your guitar is pictured in the 1973 Dorado catalog I have posted in the Acoustic Guitar catalog section. sb
