Vintage 52 Telecaster (Not a RI)

I have a 1952 Fender Telecaster (Not a RI) and was wondering what its worth. Thanks alot.

Well, just for starters, the serial number indicates this is a 1961 guitar, I believe.

That said, it's still a pretty decent IRA.

Good eye mrblanche but you missed a digit. The serial number actually falls between 500,000 to 700,000 which indicates the Tele was made in 1976.

Just another clue, I think all the early 50's Teles had a black pickguard, not white as seen in this example.

According to the 2007 VG Price Guide, a 1976 Telecaster in Blond finish is valued between $2,100-$2,500.

So Calavera, a couple of thosand dollars is a far cry from the $30,000 to $50,000 a '52 might bring but it does appear you have a fine example of a '76.

Also, that style of Fender logo on the headstock was not used until sometime during the CBS era anyways. Which indicates that it could not be earlier than that.

Also,the Fender "F" neckplate was used from late'65 to mid '76 and '50s Telecasters had brass bridge saddles,not steel.
