Kay 'something or other' guitar

Hi, My husband has this guitar. I know it's a 'Kay' because it says "Kay" on the head, but I have looked around and think MAYBE it could be a "Speed Demon" but I have yet to find one that looks exactly like this. If anyone has any info would be greatly appreciated.. oh by the way.. hubby got this for $35 bucks from some guy a long time ago

Hi Michelle,
Your guitar is a Kay model K582 and appears in the 1967-68 Kay catalog.
The body is made of laminated maple and the guitar originally retailed for $90. It appears to be in excellent original condition and is probably worth about 10 times the $35 your husband paid for it years ago.
