Bigsby Help

I am not sure if this is the right forum, if not I'm sure someone will let me know, but I am in need of some information. I am building a maple-bodied electric guitar for my uncle and he wants a Bigsby on it.
Can you mount a Bigsby on a flat-top electric?
If so, do you know what model you need?
When you buy the "kit" I am guessing that you get all of the hardware, tremolo, bridge & saddle assembly, etc.

Any help anyone can be would be greatly appreciated. My uncle taught me how to play (34 years ago!) and is one of the finest finger pickers on the planet, this guitar is long overdue, and I WILL have it done by Christmas.

The Bigsby B5 is made to mount on flat top guitars. There is no "kit" that includes the Bigsby unit and the bridge. They are sold seperately. Muscians Friend has a real good price for the B5 unit.



WD Music sells a really nice bridge made specifically to work with the Bigsby unit. Unlike the original Bigsby bridge design,this one has the advantage of being to able intonate and adjust the height of each individual string.
