Help is needed identifying guitar

We're probably more busy than stumped. My first impression is MIJ and I seem to recall these may have been distributed by Sears. I'm just stuck in my day job at the moment. Can anyone else offer insight?

Believe me my comment is meant with all the respect I can muster for you and the regulars that frequent this site.
I too need to work when all I want to do is play my M-20.

Looks very familiar but I can't place it off the top of my head. The slider controls in the pickguard would be an important think to look for in other guitars in an attmpt to find related instruments. IMO.
