What the heck is this?

I ended up with this guitar in the 70's, and I have absolutely no idea what it is...

Hey Thunderpants.

The headstock style and hardware suggests your guitar was built in Japan by Kawai around 1967. They made a bazillion different variations on this basic theme so I'm really not sure what the exact model might be.

The bridge, tailpiece and tuners all look like a 1960s Silvertone I have that I believe was a Teisco product.

By 1967 Teisco and Kawai were essentially the same company. They made guitars out of different factories, but they were under the same ownership. Lots of common characteristics in their products.
