I recently got this cool little guitar for my son who loves odd vintage guitars.
I have seen similar body styles attributed to Teisco.
I have not been able to find anything like it at Teisco Twangers.
There are no markings on the neck plate.
Please take a look and let me know what you think.

Hi Roland Owner.

Your guitar was built by Kawai around 1963. All of the parts look original except for the bridge. The original bridge was basically a straight bar that sat on thumb wheels and a flat metal mount, similar to the bridges that appeared on Teiscos in the mid to later 60's.

Here is a larger picture of an S-80 from the same era. Hopefully you can get a better look at the bridge. I wouldn't skimp on bidding for a bridge. When you figure the time you spend trying to find the correct part, it's worth a little extra money to make sure you will win it. I suspect you can buy an appropriate bridge for between $10 - $30 depending on the amount of interest in the auction.
