Old looking shortscale bass guitar

Hello......I have a shortscale bass guitar and I was wondering what year and interested in information on the thing. The headstock reads, the SHREDDER, by LK, it is hard to tell the wood even though its not painted except for the neck is lamenate black. The finish on the body is laquered natural wood but the laquer is so old looking that I can't tell what kind of wood it is. It has split coil old looking pickups and the wiring and pots look old as well. The tuners have a 60s look to them and the tail piece only has one screw per two strings for setting the intonation, although each double saddle (total two) have individual screws for setting the action. The neck has fret lines,but no frets, although I'm not sure if it ever did. It has dot inlays and the strings when played do not buzz. Actually plays really good. The intonation and action are perfect. The size of the bass is about as big as your usual strat. The body on the bass is that of a fender precision. No serial number or origin of make, maybe an old department store model. This one is tricky but I would say 60s or early 70s. Please help. I am so curious....Thanks and Greetings to all.....Canutt
