Greetings. I recently acquired this guitar in its current state as a "project" of sorts. So rest assured even though it looks horrible now, it will look better eventually. But I'd like to know exactly what I'm dealing with before I start working on it.
All I know about it is that it's an élite and that it's obviously a 335 copy.
The guy I got it from (which was atleast 3rd hand at that point) said it was aged somewhere between late 60's to mid 70's. However, he's been wrong before.
If you take a close look at the headstock, there are 4 distinct holes about the size of a pin which forms a crecent shape. This leads me to believe there was a marking there of some sorts. Could this be the "Crucianelli" mark?
There's been done a few modifactions to it over the years though, sadly.
I'm looking to pin down the Age and model if applicable.
A general price estimate in original and mint condition aswell, merely because I'm curious.
Here's the pictures, I've added links instead due to the resolution.
Also, keep in mind it's been sitting in a basement for the last 13 years. And the strings currently on it are atleast as old.
As such, it's dirty, grimy and generally not pleasing to look at.
