I AN ENDEAVORING TO LEARN THE MANUFACTURE, YEAR, AND ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS INSTRUMENT.

SAYS "MAIER ORIGINAL" MADE IN JAPAN & STEEL REINFORCED.

HAS TWO TWIST KNOBS AND THREE ROCKER SWITCHES

I CAN LOCATE ALL KINDS OF GUITAR PLAYERS WITH THE LAST NAME OF MAIER BUT CANNOT LOCATE ANY REFERENCE TO A MANUFACTURE BY THAT NAME.

Hey guys,

I think I have the mystery partially solved. I believe both of these guitars were manufactured by Regina, one of the smaller Japanese export companies in the 1960's. Unfortunately, to my knowledge, no documentation of the Regina Guitar Company exists in English. I still don't know the importer that used the name Maier as their brandname. Hopefully, someone else can help with that.

Here's a couple of Mid 1960's Regina guitars to compare with the pictures you have posted. sb
