This cleaner is good for larger surfaces and is pretty economical.



I've seen undiluted vinegar recomended for cleaning chrome as well but I haven't tried it yet. It might work on the small parts you want to clean. Let us know how it works if you give it a try.

Try this on something you're not too concerned about first!

Old motorcyclist swear by wadded-up aluminum foil for cleaning chrome. One thing you do NOT want to use is steel wool; pieces of it will get caught in the surface coating, and then rust, making your situation worse.

While I have a hotrod (that's the corner of the windshield of my 1923 Model T Touring Car in my avatar), I avoid polishing if I can. As one of my hot rod friends, said, "Polishing sucks. And the best you can hope for is to find stuff to make it suck a little less."
