A few years back a friend gave me a body for an old Teisco. I picked up a mismatched Kingston neck off eBay and a bridge and tailpiece from Allparts. When I had it all together the E strings were wider at the bridge than at the neck. I had a nut extender for slide guitar that I put on - so it doesn't matter if the strings won't stay on the neck. I installed a Lace Sensor I had lying around. It had no pickguard and therefore nothing to put an output jack in. It sat for a long time. Last Sunday I got a wild hair and pulled a stewed tomato can out of someone's recycling and cut it to cover the control cavity. Now I have an output jack and it's wired up ( no volume or tone) and ready to try as a steel guitar.
