Sorry I haven't been around on the board lately... but here's why...

I've been busy re-building this here 1958/59 Harmony-made Airline A-8397 Stratotone re-brand... first cousin to the Silvertone 1421 or a Harmony H46...

Just bought the body and neck on Ebay... cut a fresh nut and pickguard myself... re-routed the body for a pair of GFS Dream 90's and an LP wiring kit... NOS bridge... new Grovers... a banjo armrest... an of course... a Bigsby...

that thing is sweeet. how does it play. did you have to do any fretwork being such an old neck?

You know, I was amazed to see how little the frets had worn over the years... before it was stripped it had to sit in a closet forever.

Honestly, it plays like a dream. Holy crap, i wish I could save this one for myself.

I'm going to do a bunch more of these now... see how many bodies and necks I can nab without going broke hahaha...
